I’m excited to announce that, after much research, I’ve finally found the ideal venue for running Mindfulplay workshops, at a centrally located dance studio in Surry Hills.
The goal of Mindfulplay, and also my dream, is to improve lives through the power of play. I want to show that play is productive and that it should have an important place in our adult lives.
The first Mindfulplay Games Workshop at the new location will take place on Saturday 21st July at 11 am, at Connection Studios Sydney, 103 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills. This will be the first in an ongoing series of events featuring a whole array of engaging, fun activities, such as art and craft workshops, theatre improv, music, dance, hula hooping and more.
You can expect a combination of traditional playground games from around the world, theatre games and some new variations to keep things interesting. Think “What’s the time Mister Wolf”, “Grandma’s Footsteps”, “Sleeping Bear”, “Everybody’s it tag”. Don’t worry if you think you might feel silly. You very well might, but so will we all. So let’s embrace the silliness and have some fun together!
Did you also know that we are all born with the biological ability to play? There are no winners or losers, there’s no skill required, you just have to join in.
However, it won’t be ALL fun and games though, I will also be sharing my knowledge about the principles of adult playfulness and the benefits of making time for it in our busy, modern lives.
Nowadays, we’re more connected than ever before, thanks to modern technology, yet we see each other less and less in real life. We’ve become socially and spiritually disconnected from each other and also from ourselves. Mindfulplay is a way to get back that connection to each other and to ourselves.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
Places are limited, so make sure you get your ticket now (Cost $20).
I promise you will leave this workshop feeling renewed and revitalised!
